FarflungWhat is Farflung Unlimited?
Farflung Unlimited is the endless way to play the Farflung game. The Daily expedition gives everyone the same five prompts each day; Unlimited keeps dealing new prompts for as long as you want to play. Every correct pin adds to one growing journey, and there is no last round. You decide when the expedition ends.
How Unlimited works
Each prompt is drawn at random from the full bank of 78, skipping the ones you have seen most recently. Read it, find a country on the map or with the search box, and drop your pin. The field notes then show every country that fit, coloured by rarity, before you move on to the next pin.
Scoring is the same as in the Daily game: Common 40 km, Uncommon 55, Rare 70, Elusive 85 and Farflung 100 km per correct pin, and 0 km for a miss. Your journey is saved after every pin, so you can close the page or press ✕ to pause and pick up where you left off. When you are done, choose End journey to see your full log, your total distance and your average kilometres per pin.
Daily or Unlimited?
| Daily expedition | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|
| Prompts | 5, the same for everyone | Endless, random for you |

| Records kept | Streak, games played, best day | Journeys, longest journey, most pins |
Tips for a longer journey
In Unlimited, distance per pin matters more than any single answer. Try the Casual clock while you learn, so you can study the map and read every set of field notes. Aim for an average above 55 km a pin, which means beating the obvious answer more often than not. Microstates, island nations and exclaves are your friends: they answer a surprising number of prompts and often score Elusive or Farflung. For more, see how to play Farflung.
Farflung Unlimited FAQ
Is Farflung Unlimited really unlimited?
Yes. There is no last round and no daily cap. Prompts keep coming until you choose to end the journey.
Do prompts repeat in Unlimited?
Prompts are drawn at random from a bank of 78, skipping the ones you have seen most recently, so a prompt will not come back until you have played most of the bank.
Does Unlimited affect my daily streak?
No. Your streak only counts the Daily expedition. Unlimited keeps its own records: journeys played, your longest journey and the most pins in one journey.
What happens if I close the page mid-journey?
Nothing is lost. Your journey is saved in your browser, and the start card offers to resume it at the next pin.
